Replacement makes sense when the camera repeatedly restarts during normal driving after the power cable and compatible card have been ruled out, the internal battery is swollen, the manufacturer no longer provides safe firmware support, or the unit operates outside the temperatures you routinely face.
Do not replace the camera merely because parking mode stops early in cold weather. The vehicle battery, cutoff setting, power accessory, and length of the parking session may be the real limitation.
